To παρόν αποτελεί μέρος της σειράς ‘In Memoriam’ όπου παρουσιάζουμε βίντεο και φωτογραφίες από σημεία της Ελλάδας το περιβάλλον το οποίων θα αλλοιωθεί ανεπανόρθωτα από την επέλαση των αιολικών.
Η κορυφή Πέτρα (906 μ) της Παλιοβούνας είναι η χαρακτηριστική, απότομη δυτική απόληξη των Γερανείων τα οποία κάηκαν το 2018 (νότια πλευρά) και το 2021 (βόρεια πλευρά). Τα Γεράνεια έχουν πάρει σειρά γιά ανεμογεννήτριες, όπως φαίνεται στο χάρτη της Ρυθμιστικής Αρχής Ενέργειας (ΡΑΕ).

RAE Gheraneia
This is part of the ‘In Memoriam’ series where we present videos and photos from regions of Greece the environment of which will be irreparably altered by wind farms.
The Petra peak (2,972 ft/906 m) of Paliovouna is the characteristic, steep western end of the Gheraneia range which recently suffered another two catastrophic wild fires: one in 2018 (south side) and one in 2021 (north side). Gheraneia range has been earmarked for wind turbines, as shown on the map of the Energy Regulatory Authority of Greece (RAE) .
The quality of the video was hindered by cloudy skies and generally difficult lighting conditions.
